About Us

History

Save Life Liberia is a nonprofit organization founded by road accident victims in Liberia, with an active country chapter in The Gambia. We are passionately committed to road safety education, policy advocacy, and victims’ care, working to reduce traffic-related injuries and deaths across West Africa. Established in 2014, Save Life Liberia is legally registered as a non-political, non-religious, and nonprofit organization under the Association Law—Title V of the Liberian Code of Laws, revised and amended in 1976. Our sister organization, Save Life Gambia, is also fully registered as a nonprofit under The Gambia’s corporate laws. Together, we are creating safer streets, supporting survivors, and driving systemic change in road safety policy and community behavior.

Our Mandate

At Save Life Liberia, we exist to

  • Advocate and lobby for evidence-based policy reforms that promote safer roads.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels—from government to grassroots to drive collective action.
  • Collaborate, network, and partner with like-minded organizations to strengthen road safety efforts across communities and borders.

Our Mission

Save Life Liberia’s mission is to break the devastating cycle of road traffic deaths and injuries by promoting a safer, healthier, and more inclusive environment that ensures every citizen can move freely and safely.

Our Vision
